Make widgets more varied

It's good that you have a widget to the right, but it would be better to have various types of them and to be able to make them smaller or move around a webpage etc.

Do you have any particular needs?

Note also within few weeks new API is going to be added which will allow you to create your own widgets with your own design. I believe it will help.

I tried to add the same widget to my webpage as found on GiveAwayOfTheDay but instead got an annoying pop-up window which smothers everything on the page.
Your FAQ tells me that I "can" add an HTML box to my web page but nowhere is it possible to find out HOW to do this.
Surely it would not be too much to ask that a LINK be added to the FAQ leading directly to the HTML box widget?

Thanks.

Just do:
1. Go to your project settings.
2. Widget tab.
3. "HTML"
4. "Continue"
5. Edit settings as needed and get Javascript script.

Let me know if it does not help.

And thank you, we will think how to describe the process to avoid confusion.

I tried to add the widget to my website's sidebar, it's hosted on wordpress, but all that appears is "Powered by Idea.Informer. I tried changing it in the settings but nothing. ??

The problem is that Wordpress engine does not support Javascript in the same way as it would have been an "usual" web-site.

We recommend following - try this module designed for WordPress which allows Javascript using - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/html-javascript-adder/

The widget functionality was changed in the last two weeks or so, and now it's unusable. Here's what I wrote to someone at Idea Informer last week -- in response to their inquiry asking for suggestions for improvement. (I've not heard anything back.)

"(1) Questions that I've marked "completed" are showing up in the widget as "implemented." I don't want completed questions showing up at all. (And "implemented" makes no sense, given how I use Idea Informer [to solicit questions for my practical ethics webcast].) However, I don't want to delete those questions, because I want to be able to see how many votes they got, read comments, etc.

"(2) The seven or so questions with the least number of votes are not showing up in the widget at all. People need to be able to see all of the questions submitted, so that they can vote on them, etc."

I'm just now removing the widget from my web page, because it went from being somewhat awkward to totally useless. That's really disappointing, because I can't do without an embeddable widget.

Make the standard tab widget scaleble. It looks awful when you try to zoom in or zoom out.

P.S. Why can't I add this idea as a new one? Just because it contains the word 'widget'?

I think you can, you just need to scroll all the way down to the bottom to see the "submit" button. I posted about needing to do that already, so hopefully it gets more consideration now. ;P

I see all the posts except mine are like a year or more old.

Is anyone actually monitoring/updating these? :)

Thank you for your patience.

Hello!
I want to establish your widget on the site www.hobbyshop-alina.com
Prompt please where I can download an installation code?
Thanks.

You can learn more about it from our FAQ section (http://idea.informer.com/faq/ ; "How can I install a widget?" question)

Yes, this would be a great addition to the platform.
