I've customised the Joomla version of the widget to support https - very simple- detect https and substitute https or http for every image or js url in the code. However, it complains about one file:
https://widget.idea.informer.com/tabn2v3.js
So presumably widget.idea.informer.com is not yet set up to work under https? Fix this and you are well on the way.
However the joomla module seems broken in other ways - missing images, so sometimes window cannot be closed etc. Shame but I've reached a dead end making this work...
If you could just setup a sym-link between your HTTP and HTTPS folders and get a valid wildcard certificate from Go Daddy or similar this issue would be resolved. I've recently been using this product a bit more and would definitely pay for it if that is what is necessary to get SSL access... for the time being I've deleted all Javascript from the widget and have a basic HREF to the page until we see some SSL added to Idea.Informer.
FYI - Browsers through a fit when you load the widgets into an otherwise secure environment.
